Alternate Titles

"The Twisted Men"     (1964)

  • This story's history is particularly confusing. The title is most familiar as a novel published in 1965. This novel was created from three stories, two of which were already part of a series ("Centaurus II" and "The Expendables"). The third, non-series story was this one, whose title was re-used for the new novel. To further muddy the waters, when this story was reprinted in a collection its title was changed to "The Twisted Men." As far as I know, when it appeared in various anthologies it did so as "Rogue Ship."
